In March 2018, two of Darul Qasim’s instructors, Dr. Muhammed Volkan Yildiran Stodolsky and Ustadh Firas Alkhateeb presented at the Third Kuala Lumpur International Kalam Symposium in Malaysia. The conference, organized by the Islamic & Strategic Studies Institute, Kalam Research & Media, and the International Islamic University Malaysia, brought together scholars and students from around the world to present papers on various topics within the field of theology (kalām). Dr. Muhammed presented on the relationship between Māturīdī theology and Ḥanafī legal theory, while Ustadh Firas presented on the reception of kalām in the 16th century Ottoman Empire.
